Generous Grants and Faithful Funding

The Disability Action Center is the recipient of numerous grants and funding throughout the summer. Many sources of funding came together to bring the Roof Project to fruition. The replacement of the DAC’s existing flat roof is a major undertaking and vital to the continuation of services at our current facility. 

We are forever grateful for the ongoing support we receive on a local, state, and national level for capital projects such as the roof, as well as, continuation of the quality programming we offer to our clients with disabilities and their families.  

We would like to thank the following Grantors for believing in the DAC and supporting our mission: 

George W. Bowers Family Charitable Trust (In Memory of Frances B. Bowers):

$20,000 towards the construction of the Disability Action Center Roof. 

Sam’s Club-Morgantown, WV:

$1,000 towards the construction of the Disability Action Center Roof. 

USDA Rural Development:

$6,780 towards the construction of the Disability Action Center Roof. 

Marion County Commission:

$7,500 towards the construction of the Disability Action Center Roof. 

Rite Aid Foundation:

$2,000 towards our Summer Camp CAN-DO and Day Camp CAN-DO. 

Northrop Grumman:

$800 towards our Summer Mission Transition Program for special needs graduates. 

Fairmont Federal Credit Union:

$150 towards our Summer Camp CAN-DO.
