DAC Connection Kits
We will continue #DACConnectionKits through at least July for individuals choosing to remain home for instruction. Instructional materials will be provided in the kit and resources and videos will continue to be posted on Facebook. You might also participate in a GoTo Meeting as a virtual option for some programs.
We are very thankful to the United Way of Marion and Taylor Counties and Wesbanco for funding to support the #DACConnectionKits and other supplies and resources we have utilized during this time!

Level of Support Policy Updates
Please be sure to update your Level of Support Policy with the DAC as there are changes in your support needs or recommendations. You should update your plan due to age or beginning to receive Title 19 IDD Waiver services…either through wait list approval or coming off of the waitlist and completing your IPP Plan.  

 GO! Get Outdoors Activities

August 12th: 1-3 Splash Pad and Palatine Park
August 25th: 10-2 p.m. Rock Lake End of Summer Picnic
(Stay tuned for new dates/activities each month through Fall)

Friday Night Outs-July and August 2020
The Friday Night in July will be a held on July 17th from 6-8 p.m. at the DAC (Tentative). The People First of Marion County will be hosting the event! August Friday Night Out is slated for August 14th and we are looking for a sponsor this event….let us know if you are interested.
Both events may be held outside based on social distancing and gathering guidelines…stay tune for details! 

General Membership Board Meeting
July 27th      4:00 p.m.
All Members are invited to attend our Semi-Annual General Membership Board Meeting on July 27th. Light meal will be provided at 4 p.m. with the meeting starting directly after. Your voice and participation are appreciated and we encourage you to be a part of this meeting!

BEST LIFE: Money, Home, Community
Tuesdays in July and August 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
This six week series is a partnership program of the DAC and the United Way of Marion and Taylor Counties. With a focus on financial stability, the program will also incorporate aspects of personal wellness, nutrition, community resources, and home management into the series.

August 4th/Week Four: Home Hacks and Maintenance
August 11th/Week 5: Expect the Unexpected

 DAC Summer Camp CAN-DO
July 27-31, 2020 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

(Camp details are subject to change based on COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations)
This year’s Camp Theme is Wild and Wonderful DAC!
A full schedule of activities and registration is available at the DAC and at disabilityactioncenter.com.
Please call or come in the center to Pre-Register.
The week-long camp will encourage campers to discover more about WV heritage, culinary history, wildlife, and recreation opportunities. We have a variety of onsite and offsite activities planned including a field trip to Homestead Farm Center, Boy Scouts Camps, and WVU Arboretum.
Other great activities include crafts, cooking, recreation, more.
Cost will be $5.00 per day for DAC members and $10.00 per day for non-members.

DAC SUB SALE
August 6th and 7th, 2020
It’s time again for our Semi-Annual Sub Sale!
Sub Order from can be found online and at the DAC!
Our goal is to surpass the 2,000 Sub Mark! We Can Do It!!
Volunteers are also needed on August 6th and 7th to prepare for the sale, make the subs, deliver the subs, and help out in any way possible.
Most of all we need to SELL THOSE SUBS!
