Advocacy: Get involved with one of our three advocacy groups:

• People First is a self-advocacy group of adults with developmental disabilities who meet monthly with their peers to learn their rights and responsibilities and how to speak for themselves, how to make their voices heard, and how to make choices and chances in their lives. Opportunities to advocate statewide including conferences and trainings.

• ABLE (Ability, Beauty, Leadership, and Education) is a network of women with disabilities whose focus is to empower peers to reach their fullest level of independence. ABLE provides a platform for women with disabilities to learn from one another and support one another in areas such as advocacy and rights, education and employment, safety, independent living, networking, and volunteerism.

• MAN Club (Men’s Advocacy Network) is a network of young men whose common purpose is to support and encourage one another in setting and reaching personal life goals. With emphasis on healthy relationships, employment, positive behaviors, personal responsibility, and independent living, the MAN Club tackles the difficult issues that life can present.
