Social and Recreational

The DAC offers fun social and recreational activities for members. We host a variety of events including dances, camps, and arts and crafts. Our Social and Recreational activities provide the opportunity for families to connect with one another and learn from one another.

Friday Night Outs: Our members meet twice a month on Friday Evenings for a night out of fun and fellowship. We recognize each member who is having a birthday that month and do a variety of activities. Our “Friday Night Outs” include pizza parties, bingo, dances, Video Games, and Old-fashioned fun!

Community Service Project: The DAC partners with Wishing Well Assisted Living on monthly Community Service Projects. The combined group participates in a wide range of mutually beneficial activities including bingo, arts and crafts, board games, gardening, and much more.

Creative Arts: The Creative Arts program is led by a qualify instructor and participants learn a variety of techniques and tools including watercolor, chalk, coloring, and use their creative minds to create their works of art. Seasonal projects and holiday crafts are always a favorite.

Holiday Dances and Parties: The Disability Action Center family loves to get together and no better time than the Holidays. Fall Formals, Halloween Costumes Parties, Sweethearts Dances, are just a few of our Seasonal favorites.

Winter Bowling League: The DAC bowling league runs from January to March at the Fairmont Bowling Center. Members receive a discounted rate and a good time is had by all. An end of the season recognition banquet honors each bowler for their accomplishments.

Camp CAN-DO!: The Disability Action Center Summer Camp CAN-DO is about learning, growing, supporting one another, and showing that We Can Do Anything! We Can Soar, We Can Empower, We Can Create, We Can Encourage, We Can Be Who We Are!! Camp runs each summer for one week during the day.
