Exercise and Fitness

The Disability Action Center offers a variety of fitness and exercise activities for our clients and their families. We encourage the independent use of all fitness and exercise equipment as well as participation in group classes and structured recreation.

Feel Good Fitness: The Feel Good Fitness program uses the quality Curves resistance equipment that concentrates on core, leg, and arm focused exercises. The Feel Good Fitness workout includes both cardio exercise and strength training – key to raising metabolism and maintaining tone. Former Curves members are welcome to continue their routine at the DAC and Feel Good Fitness is free to our members and families. A DAC will train each person and effective use of the machines and proper workout form.

Group Fitness: Group Fitness is held at least twice monthly and allows participants the time for individual instruction in the Feel Good Fitness Center as well as enjoying awesome activities in the Gymnasium such as basketball, corn hole, indoor bocce, and much more. Treadmills and a stationary bike are also available for use.

Line Dancing: A member favorite and so much fun! Held Twice or more monthly, our line dancing class offers a fun environment that is good for the heart as well.
