Advocacy
Advocacy: The Disability Action Center is part of a statewide advocacy network, People First of West Virginia. Locally, our People First of Marion County is a self-advocate led group that meets monthly.
- People First of Marion County: A self-advocacy group for adults with developmental disabilities. People First members meet monthly to better understand their rights and responsibilities, identify their personal strengths, needs and goals, and to be empowered to speak for themselves and for all people with developmental disabilities. People First of Marion County is part of a statewide network on People First Chapters with opportunities to attend regional and state conferences and trainings.
