DAC Phases of Reopening

Hello everyone!

It’s hard to believe that it is May! We are so hopeful that this month will bring warm weather, continued improvement of the Coronavirus in our community and renewed excitement about DAC programming and being together again.

We want to make sure we have safeguards in place for your return to in-person programming at the Center so we have devised a plan for safely reopening the center for staff, clients, and the community. This plan is attached and we hope you will review it carefully. (See Below)  I am available to answer any questions that you have now and in the future. We understand that these are unchartered territories and each of you may have different opinions and concerns about the Coronavirus and safety guidelines that are now in place. The center will be following the Safer At Home orders that are now in place by our Governor and will continue to closely follow all updated recommendations from our Governor and our Health Department.

In addition to the attached document pertaining to DAC reopening, our onsite partners will be as follows:

Playworks Child and Adult Therapies: Tentative return date of June 1st. You will be contacted by your therapist.

Homestead Farm Center: HFC plans to hold the RURAL Program as scheduled beginning in June. Limited capacity for the program including class size and transportation. Miss Ann will be in touch with those in the program. Ann will also contact individuals who applied for the Harvest at Home Program.

Special Olympics of Marion County: Cari will begin to have some office hours in May by appointment only. There will be no athletics/practices until July 1, 2020 tentatively per Special Olympics International.
