March-2021-Calendar         April-2021-Calendar

GO! (Get Outdoors)
March 10th: Ireland (on site) 1-3 p.m.
April 14th: TBD   1-3 p.m.

The DAC’s very popular GO! (Get Outdoors) Program will continue in 2021, although we have had to alter the format and bring the great outdoors to us….with indoor virtual events in the recent months. The Go! Program is a way to increase the recreational, social, and fitness opportunities available to individuals with disabilities in Marion County. We do hope to return to many of our favorite off-site GO! events when it is safe to do so including swimming, Palatine Park activities and concerts, field trips, sporting events, farmer’s markets, and other activities that get us up and moving.
NOTE: YOU MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE FOR ALL GO ACTIVITIES. SPACE AND TRAVEL IS LIMITED.

The Disability Action Center & Marion County Schools
Transition Fair 2021……VIRTUAL!!!

The Disability Action Center is proud to host the 2021 Virtual Transition Fair in conjunction with Marion County Schools. While the challenging times of COVID-19, safety concerns, and the need to socially distance will prevent us from holding the annual fair in person,  we believe it is important to have a sense of community and safely come together virtually; offering the same post-secondary opportunities and vital resources to the students as we have in years past.
This year’s fair will “air” for students in March 2021 and will remain available online or by request for family members, caregivers, and educators to help guide students in their future planning.
